2.Tarun Tejpal

Tarun Tejpal is an investigative journalist who began his work in the 1980s.He has worked in India Today, Indian Express, Financial Express.He also founded the publishing company-India Ink, which published Arundhati Roy’s “The God of small things”.He started his website Tehelka in 2000 which was relaunched as a national weekly newspaper in 2007.He was booked on the charge of sexual assault in 2013, after which he stepped down as the editor of Tehelka for 6 months.He has been given bail by the Goa High court.Tehelka was responsible for operation west end in which BJP president Bangaru Laxman was convicted.

The current editor of Tehelka is Charanjit Ahuja.

3.Suparna Chaudhary

Shoma Chaudhury, known by her pen-name is a reporter-journalist from Bengal.She started her career from Doordarshan.She has worked in Pioneer, India today.She was editor of Special projects at Tehelka.She was criticized for downplaying the sexual assault incident involving Tarun Tejpal.She speaks on platforms such as Jaipur Lit Festival and Tehelka Think Fest.

4.Barkha Dutt

Barkha Dutt has been part of NDTV for a long time.She resigned in January 2017.She became famous for her reporting in 1999 Kargil war between India and Pakistan.She particularly was praised for an interview with Captain Vikram Batra.She has been criticized for her reporting from Oberoi Trident and Taj Hotel during the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai.It was alleged that her reporting could have helped the terrorists in their mission.She is known for her weekly show, We, the people and her everyday primetime show, The buck stops here.She was criticized for her roles in 2G spectrum case, but she has been cleared of it.

5.Rajdeep Sardesai

He is the son of the Indian cricketer, Dilip Sardesai.Currently, he is the consulting editor at India Today and hosts Headlines Today.He was the editor of CNN-IBN, IBN-7, and IBN-lokmat, from which he resigned in 2014 after Reliance bought out a stake in these media houses.He is married to Sagarika Ghose, a journalist.

Rajdeep started his career with Times of India before moving to television journalism through NDTV.He started his own media company, Global Broadcast News (GBN), along with American giant CNN, and Raghav Bahl’s TV18.The latter heads the Indian version of CNBC, CNBC-TV18, and CNBC-Awaz.Later Rajdeep also acquired Channel 7 and it became IBN-7.In 2014, Reliance Industries Ltd. announced that they would be acquiring a controlling stake in Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd, the parent company of CNN-IBN, IBN-7, and CNBC-TV18.Consequently, all the founding members of CNN-IBN resigned.

6.Arnab Goswami

He is a native of Assam with family affiliations to the BJP.His maternal uncle, Siddhartha Bhattacharya, a BJP MLA from Gauhati east constituency was head of the Assam’s state unit before Sarbananda Sonowal took over in 2015.He started off his career with a Kolkata-based media house after which he moved to NDTV.NDTV was a content producing company then.He also became a prominent part of NDTV 24*7 with a daily show.He moved to the Times group in 2006 and hosted the show, Newshour.He has had famous personalities such as Pervez Musharraf, Benazir Bhutto, and Hilary Clinton on his show.He is the only journalist to have conducted an interview with current PM, Narendra Modi.He is known for his polarizing stance and writing off alleged people as criminals.

7.Ravish Kumar

Ravish Kumar belongs to Motihari, east Bihar.He is an alumnus of Deshbandu College, Delhi University.He is the current editor of NDTV India and hosts the show, Primetime.He is known for his unconventional approach and on-field reporting.He was awarded the Journalist of the Year award in 2015.

8.Sagarika Ghose

She has worked at Times of India, The Indian Express, and The Outlook.She resigned deputy editor of CNN-IBN after its buyout by Reliance Industries.She is currently the consulting editor at Times of India.She was criticized for her show with spiritual guru Sri Sir Ravi Shankar in 2011, in which the channel CNN-IBN edited the interview with inputs from Ghose and showed the show as a live stream.The interview, in fact, had been conducted earlier in the day.The channel later issued an apology.She was praised for show Question Time Didi in 2013 in which the then Bengal CM, Mamta Banerjee, stormed out in between.

9.Prannoy Roy

He is the co-founder of NDTV, along with his wife Radhika Roy.He is a cousin of Indian author, Arundhati Roy.He is actively involved in campaigns such as Greenathon, Save Our Tigers, and 7 wonders of India.He was cleared in a case filed by CBI alleging fraud in a Doordarshan upgrade.
